The soft, organic forms of the tropical jungle find expression in a remarkable collection of Australian South Sea baroque pearls cradling a suite of colourful flowers; each bloom embracing a magnificent tourmaline within its diamond and sapphire-encrusted petals.
Pacifica is the latest campaign from Margot McKinney, created to showcase the Australian jewellery designer’s most significant recent works as well as to underscore the inspirational role that nature’s wonders play in her art. The carefully orchestrated combination of striking still images and an evocative brand video piece was shot over four days on Bedarra Island, located in the Coral Sea off the tropical north Queensland coast between Townsville and Cairns.

In the Bedarra collier we find a wave of Australian boulder opals, Paraiba tourmalines, diamonds, blue sapphires and tsavorites washing over a dazzling array of Tahitian keshi pearls…an evocation in precious gems of the turquoise sea as it meets the granite-studded beach sands of the island that inspired its name.
